Safety First

SAFETY FIRST

Operating in a high risk industry requires enforcement of high standards of rules to ensure the safety of our employees and property at the work place.

SEB has developed safety policies to outline the requirements of safety and health at our work place.

Our approach to safety and health are as follows;

  1. Formulate the Safety Policy.
  2. Establish a Safety Committee.
  3. Determine the best communication system between the workers and the management such as meetings and tool box briefing.
  4. Develop control measures and rules for safety guidelines such as:
    • Safety guidelines handout.
    • Safety Manual and Safety Plan.
    • Safety Operating Procedure.
    • Hazard Identification Risk Assessments and Risk Control.

These collectively guide our employees in the performance of their work.

The safety of our staff and contractors performing work are paramount to us.  SEB strives to continuously improve on our safety procedures.  Our staff attend trainings and seminars to update themselves on developments on safety standards, new requirements and tools available in the market.  Inspections and audits are carried out to asses compliance to policies and procedures as well as to reinforce awareness and knowledge on the safety standards.

SEB has defined certain works which requires specific standards of competency for example, working in confined space, erection and dismantling of scaffoldings, crane operators, forklift operators; etc. These competencies can be acquired through a combination of education, certification, experience and work place training.
